About The Pearl Harbor Survivors Project

For 65 years America has rightly honored those who gave their lives at Pearl Harbor, but thousands more lived to fight on, defend freedom, preserve democracy and rally a nation. The Pearl Harbor Survivors Project pays a debt of gratitude to the Pearl Harbor survivors from the greatest generation by creating a community to share and immortalize their stories. The initiative remembers the survivors of the Dec. 7, 1941 themselves, as well as the freedom they preserved. The campaign seeks to engage the next generation of Americans who benefit even today from these efforts. Through their participation, Americans are shaping history. Each person who contributes is deciding how America will commemorate the end of an era and how we will remember the sacrifice at Pearl Harbor. The Pearl Harbor Survivors Project is sponsored by the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund: Remember, Understand, Honor & Give from the Heart. We invite you to share a story, explore the stories of others, and make a donation to the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund.

About the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund

  • The Arizona Memorial Museum Association (AMMA) has established the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund (PHMF) to raise capital improvement funds from public and private sources. The funds will construct a new facility that replaces the USS Arizona Memorial's current deteriorating and inadequate Museum and Visitor Center at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The building has an estimated life of four to nine years. This new facility, to be known as the Pearl Harbor Memorial Museum and Visitor Center, will house an expanded state-of-the-art museum, a new research and educational center with a library and teleconferencing facility, an outdoor amphitheater, movie theatres for education and visitor orientation, an expanded book shop, and improved visitor space and facilities. The museum is designed to be the primary repository of artifacts and information related to the Attack on Pearl Harbor and the War in the Pacific. This project is a joint venture of AMMA, the National Park Service (NPS), and the United States Navy (USN) and has strong local, national and international support.
